All valid International Driving Licenses and National Driving Licenses are accepted in Cyprus provided that they are applicable for the class of vehicle being driven.

Should you wish to change your driving license to a Cyprus Driving License it will cost CYP 35.00 and valid for life.

All European Driving Licenses are officially recognised by the law. However, driving licenses which have been issued in one of the following countries must be replaced after a period of six months: Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Australia, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, United States of America, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Russia.

Citizens from the above mentioned countries and non-European citizens are permitted to drive holding their National Driving Licenses, however, only for a period of approximately 30 days. Should they hold a valid International Driving License, they are authorised to drive.
